Barcelona V Roma Referee named

Dutch referee Danny Makkelie will be the man in the middle during FC Barcelona's Champions League Quarter Final first leg against AS Roma at the Nou Camp. The 35-year-old has never before taken charge of a match involving Barcelona although he did referee a Spanish team in the previous round at Old Trafford as Sevilla won 2-1. He has issued 15 Yellow cards and two red cards in his last 5 games.

Messi to the rescue

Barcelona ace Lionel Messi was named among the substitutes due to his hamstring problem, against Sevilla. But 57 minutes later Ernesto Valverde called on his star player. In defense, Jordi Alba's attacking minded play often left Barcelona exposed at left back, both Umtiti and Pique were equally shocking. Sergi Roberto wasn't great either Ter Stegen could have done better with both goals. Sevilla dominated the midfield thanks to a superb performance from N'zonzi and Ever Banega. Sergio Busquets was clearly missed, Rakitic is no Busquets, Busquets is no Rakitic, they complement each other so well and you could see Rakitic missed his partner go muc...
