Barca To Face Roma After Snatching Malcom

The picture above is one which every Barcelona fan won't want to see. It is a picture of Manolas celebrating after scoring the goal that knocked FC Barcelona out of the Champions League last season. AS Roma and FC Barcelona go head to head in the ICC fixture in Dallas, Texas on Wednesday 1st August by 3am WAT. The fixture comes after FC Barcelona signed Malcom after it was almost certain he was headed for Rome. He is expected to play against Roma. Marc-Andre Ter Stegen also joined the group and could play. Denis Suarez and Andre Gomes are still injured.

Barcelona Sign Malcom

FC Barcelona has completed the €41m signing of Brazilian winger Malcom Filipe Silva de Oliveira from Bordeaux. The news was announced by the Catalan Club late on Tuesday 24th July. The player joined the Catalans after almost completing a move to AS Roma just 48 hours before. The winger has been described as a mix of Willian and Neymar Jr by some. His dribbling and trickery will certainly be enjoyed by the Barcelona faithful.

Barcelona Close In On €41m Malcom

After seeing 2 bids for Chelsea star Willian turned down, FC Barcelona have turned their attention towards Malcom Filipe Silva de Oliveira who looked almost set to become a Roma player. AS Roma already announced a deal was in place with Malcom. He scored 12 goals and laid 8 assists during the 2017/2018 season for Bordeaux. He's a great dribbler of the ball, left footed. Physically, He is 1.71m tall and weighs 68 kg, but once away he can only be stopped by fouling him due to his ability to run with the ball.

Real Sociedad Interested in Barca Youngster

Real Sociedad are interested in signing highly rated Jose Arnaiz, who they want to bring in to reinforce their forward line. The Basque Club are reportedly hoping the Catalans lower their €12m asking price. Real Sociedad face competition from Getafe, Valladolid and Girona for the player. There is no way though that Sociedad would pay 12 million, the same amount that they have splashed out on Mikel Merino, who had played for Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle in the past. "At the moment we have no negotiations ongoing with any player," said Real president Jokin Aperribay, to show the state of play. Real have also pointed to the groin injury that Arnaiz had at the end of last season to try and get a lower figure.
