RECENT BARCA UCL HISTORY FC Barcelona will begin their Champions League journey at home facing PSV of Netherlands. Barcelona last won the UEFA Champions League in 2015 defeating Juventus in the final. Three successive quarter-final losses have followed. The most disapointing being the loss to Roma last term. However, Ernesto Valverde's men would hope to bring the prestigious trophy home. PSV and Barcelona have never met in the Champions League

PSV: PSV Eindoven have won their last six games successively and it is expected they will cause Barca some problems.

ANALYSIS
With Barcelona playing at home and having a star studded squad they are clear favorites for the encounter although PSV are dangerous and may end up scoring. However, Barcelona should win the tie. Phillipe Coutinho could play his first UCL game for Barcelona tomorrow, he was not eligible to feature last season after transferring from Liverpool. Luis Suarez would also hope to improve on his Champions League goal scoring of late which has been disappointing for a player of his quality. He has scored just one goal in his last 10 continental games, which came in the first leg against Roma , and in 2016/17 he scored just three goals in nine games, with two of those coming in a 7-0 drubbing of Celtic.
