After receiving LaLiga's report on
Gerard Pique's gesture towards Espanyol fans, the Spanish FA
Competition Committee has decided to open an investigation against the Barcelona centre back.
Shortly after his equaliser in the Catalan derby, the 31-year-old raised his finger to his lips to silence the home crowd , following their offensive chants towards his family.
As reported by Cadena Cope, the committee will hear explanations from all parties involved, to decide whether they will proceed with sanctioning the player or not.
