There is no doubt that German goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen is having his best season so far in his career. The former Borussia Monchengladbach goalie has kept 18 clean sheets in 29 appearances in La Liga, meanwhile he had just 13 clean sheets in 36 last season.
For the analysis, I will compare Ter Stegen's numbers with those of Jan Oblak of Atletico Madrid and David De Gea of Manchester United, they have equally been outstanding.
The first thing you'll notice is that Jan Oblak and Ter Stegen lead De Gea by far when it comes to Clean Sheets, they both have more clean sheets despite having played a game less.
In the Average goals conceded in the league, Jan Oblak is slightly behind Ter Stegen who has conceded 0.45, while Oblak 0.48 and De Gea is once more far behind with 0.77 per game. De Gea's defense would be that Barcelona and Atletico have a better defence this season, although Manchester United has a bus (hahaha)
In terms of saves per game, De Gea tops with 2.90 saves per game while Jan Oblak comes in 2nd with 2.38 and Ter Stegen 2.31.

When it comes to passing accuracy, it couldn't be anyone other than Ter Stegen who has a pass completion of 83%, followed by DDG 61% and far behind is Jan Oblak at 54%. But there's a catch
Jan Oblak attempts longer passes than both Ter Stegen and DDG that is why his Pass accuracy % is lower than the duo, Meanwhile, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen plays short passes which are easier to be accurate than the long passes. So it's down to the teams style of play.
In Terms of Clean sheets; Oblak and Ter Stegen are clearly on top.
In Terms of Average goals conceded; Ter Stegen and Oblak are tied.
In Terms of Saves Per game; De Gea comes out on top.
When it comes to passing; Jan And Ter Stegen take top spot. Because Oblak has a better pass % to distance ratio while Ter Stegen has a better pass completion rate.
Without doubt, At the moment Ter Stegen is among the top goalkeepers in the world.
