On Monday 29th May, 2017 FC Barcelona released a new home kit featuring for the first time Rakuten as sponsors after their deal with Qatar Airways expired at the end of the season.
Rakuten is currently valued at about $17bn, the Japanese company struck a 4 year deal with the Catalan giants for about €54m a year to become their main sponsors.
The new kit features intense blue colour, Catalan Flag on the collar.
As usual, it was created by Nike and it's designed with geometric pattern and is made of recycled polyester
"This agreement puts us at the forefront of the sports club sponsorships, which has always been an objective for the current board of directors"
Current Club President Jose Maria Bartomeu told the press.
